In addition to serving an average of 260 people each day, we provide weekend breakfast on Saturday's and host many other special events, large and small. Our largest special event is the annual Mayor's Holiday dinner for the underserved, our Christmas Day Dinner, and the Combind Health District /Montgomery County summer picnic, in addition to many other vital programs that enhance the neighboorhood and the entire community
As a community partner, the House of Bread hosts a number of health screenings, NA and AA meetings, neighborhood association meetings and many more.
Many of our partner agencies also provide case management, housing, mental health and food and utility assistance to our clients in dire need.
Although there are no specific geographical limitations for those we serve, the majority of our guests come from the inner city limits of Dayton, Ohio. Statistics reflect that a large concentration of households in the closest zip codes to the House of Bread are households of less than $8,330 in annual income, with many of these being single parent families with multiple children.
