A thank you to our friends at the VFW from Springfield. They transported 5 of our veteren guests to the VA for lunch, clothing and other necessities. We all owe a debt of gratitude to those who served their country so well.
Many of our guests at the House of Bread hold part time or temporary jobs in construction or other skilled trades. A guest today came in from working with black top, needing laundry deterget for his work clothes. We were able to provide one container of laundry detergent thanks to our friends from St. Vincent de Paul.
