The House of Bread

 • Is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit Community Kitchen established in 1983, serving predominately the inner-city residents of Dayton, Ohio.
 • Serves a free hot and nutritious lunchtime meal to anyone in need.
 • Serves a free breakfast/brunch the second, third and fourth Saturday of each month.
 • Serves as the central meal preparation and distribution site for four community centers that provide after school study programs.
 • Serves as a bridge to beneficial community resources, linking our guests with agencies that provide proven solutions to long-term problems.
 • Serves as one of the community's primary resources for proven solutions in meal distribution and hunger awareness.
